Check whether it currently works normally through its USB cable. If ordinary typing already fails or the USB connection drops out, resolve that issue first rather than buying a conversion module as a repair.

Separate ordinary typing from must-have features
Make a short list of what you actually rely on. For example:
- Ordinary typing and your usual key combinations.
- A volume knob or dedicated media buttons.
- Macros and remapping, including whether you configure them with manufacturer software.
- Lighting settings you want to retain.
- Wired USB operation as a fallback.
These are questions to verify, not a claim that WBT-V3 supports or rejects every feature listed. Do not treat confirmation of basic typing as confirmation that all special functions work in every connection mode.
Tell WSCOME which features are essential and which you could do without. A precise requirement such as "I need my volume knob to work in receiver mode" is more useful than "Will everything work?"
Decide how you will connect to the computer
WBT-V3 offers Bluetooth, matching WSCOME 2.4G receiver mode, and wired mode. State which modes you intend to use, along with your target computer and operating system.
Ask about the keyboard functions you need in those specific modes. Do not assume an unrelated USB receiver will work, or that a mode name guarantees every feature of your original USB connection. If wired fallback matters, include it in your compatibility question before planning the build.
Treat installation fit as a separate decision
A keyboard may be electrically suitable yet still be a difficult physical conversion. You need a plan for the module, battery, wiring, mounting, and access to controls and charging.
Start with external model information and any existing documentation. You do not need to open or cut your keyboard just to send an initial inquiry. If you already have safe, clear internal photographs or measurements, mention them; otherwise say that internal space is not yet confirmed.
