If you want to share one keyboard and mouse between two computers, the usual choices are software sharing, a USB switch, or a full KVM switch. WBT2-V4 is different: it is a hardware keyboard and mouse switch for users who do not want to install software, depend on the same LAN, or switch monitor signals.
When this setup makes sense
- You use a desktop and a laptop at the same desk.
- You cannot install software on a work computer.
- Your computers are not on the same network.
- You already have separate monitors and only want to switch keyboard and mouse control.
- You use a mixed setup such as Windows, macOS, or Linux.
Why not just use software?
Software tools can be useful, but they require installation and usually depend on network stability. WBT2-V4 is designed for situations where you want one keyboard and mouse for multiple computers without installing software or requiring the computers to be on the same LAN.
Why not a full KVM switch?
A full KVM switch is useful when you also need to switch video. But if your monitors are already connected and you only want WSCOME hardware to switch keyboard and mouse control, WBT2-V4 is usually the more focused option.
How WBT2-V4 fits
WBT2-V4 lets one keyboard and mouse control multiple computers through paired receivers or Bluetooth connections. It does not require the computers to share a LAN, and it does not require a software client on each machine.
