Count the computers you will connect through WSCOME 2.4G receiver mode, then subtract the compatible receivers already available for that setup. Each receiver-mode computer needs one matching receiver; a computer connected by Bluetooth does not need a WSCOME 2.4G receiver. The standard WBT2-V4 package currently includes one receiver. Calculate your extra receivers
Extra receivers needed = receiver-mode computers minus usable matching receivers you already have or will receive in your selected package. If the result is below zero, you need no extras.
Count receivers, not keyboard and mouse devices. A keyboard and mouse connected to one WBT2-V4 do not require two separate receivers on the same target computer.
The examples below assume you are buying a standard package containing one receiver and own no other matching receivers. Every receiver-mode computer keeps its own receiver connected.

Bluetooth examples depend on supported pairing and the computer’s device policy. Having Bluetooth listed in a computer’s specifications does not necessarily mean pairing is permitted on a managed work machine.
Three example shopping lists
A desktop and a Bluetooth laptop
If the desktop will use receiver mode and the laptop supports and permits Bluetooth pairing, the included receiver covers the desktop. Your list is one WBT2-V4 standard package, with no extra receiver for this combination. If you choose receiver mode for the laptop as well, add one matching receiver.
Four computers, all using receiver mode
Plan one WBT2-V4 standard package plus three extra receivers, giving you four receivers in total. The package’s single receiver is not four receiver connections. Each computer needs its own receiver if you want it to remain connected while switching between targets.
Expanding an existing setup
Suppose you already have WBT2-V4 and two matching receivers assigned to two computers. Adding a third receiver-mode computer requires one additional receiver, not another WBT2-V4. A receiver still needed by another setup should not be counted as spare stock. For an existing-owner accessory order, contact WSCOME to confirm compatibility and ordering arrangements first; the receiver listing includes a standalone-purchase restriction.
Check these details before ordering
- Connection plan: write “WSCOME receiver” or “Bluetooth” beside each target computer. Keep the complete setup within WBT2-V4’s supported limit of up to 8 computers.
- Package contents: subtract the receivers actually included in the option you select, rather than assuming every bundle is identical.
- Existing hardware: count only compatible WSCOME receivers available for this setup. A spare dongle from another keyboard brand is not a substitute.
- Computer access: check the available USB connection for receiver mode, or supported and permitted pairing for Bluetooth mode. Ask your IT team about managed computers.
- Your peripherals: confirm your keyboard and mouse are suitable for WBT2-V4. Adding receivers does not resolve every unusual device protocol or power requirement.
Normal keyboard and mouse switching does not require a sharing application or a shared LAN. WBT2-V4 does not switch HDMI, DisplayPort or monitor video; buying more receivers does not add video switching.
Questions before checkout
Does “up to 8 computers” mean eight receivers are included?
No. Computer capacity and package contents are different. The standard package currently lists one receiver. An eight-computer, all-receiver setup therefore needs eight compatible receivers in total, including any already owned or supplied with the package.
Can I use one receiver with a keyboard and mouse together?
Yes. For one WBT2-V4 setup, the receiver connects the target computer to the switch that has your keyboard and mouse attached. Count one receiver per receiver-mode computer, not one per peripheral.
Do I need a new receiver when I add a Bluetooth computer?
Not for that Bluetooth connection. Confirm that the computer can pair with WBT2-V4 and that the planned target configuration is supported before relying on Bluetooth in your shopping list.
Will a matching receiver fix a lost dongle from another keyboard brand?
No. The matching accessory is for supported WSCOME hardware. It is not a universal replacement receiver for unrelated wireless keyboards.
